COURTYARD RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX

Demolition and reconstruction of a former rural courtyard for the creation of a new private residential complex, developed through a careful material research that reinterprets the traditional language of the Lombard farmstead in a contemporary key. Warm earth-toned plasterwork, exposed brick, terracotta tile roofs and wooden shutters define the architectural identity of the project.
The complex is organized around a central courtyard, the generating element of the layout, conceived as a shared social space connecting the different residential units. Loggias, porticoes and wrought-iron balconies enrich the façades and foster the dialogue between interior and exterior, while integrating high-efficiency building systems aimed at ensuring indoor comfort and reducing environmental impact.
Particular attention was devoted to the design of the courtyard and common areas, featuring cobblestone and porphyry paving laid in traditional geometric patterns, planted beds with local species and an integrated lighting system that enhances the architecture in the evening hours, restoring the site's vocation as a collective space.
